A domestic dispute in Batangas City turned violent Wednesday when a father stabbed his intoxicated son during an altercation at their residence in Barangay Kumintang Ibaba. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the 61-year-old man's home, authorities said.
The 35-year-old son sustained a stab wound to the chest during the confrontation. Police noted that the younger man had been drinking prior to arriving at his father's house, which precipitated the clash between the two.
Despite the violent nature of the assault, the father took immediate responsibility for his son's welfare, transporting him to a nearby hospital for emergency medical care. Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing and the events that led to the physical altercation between father and son.
