The group has raised RM100,000 to support their efforts, according to spokesperson Hanan, who indicated that expert legal counsel is being sought before determining the appropriate course of action. The fund represents a significant commitment by the community to contest what they view as an unwanted industrial development in their area.
The proposed waste-to-energy incinerator has drawn sustained opposition from local residents and environmental advocates who have raised concerns about its potential impact on air quality and public health.
