Bayern Munich hold off Freiburg fightback to secure 3-1 victory

Bayern Munich preserved their perfect start to the Bundesliga season with a 3-1 victory over SC Freiburg on Saturday, though the German champions faced a stern test in the closing stages of the match.

The Bavarian side established a commanding position through the first two periods of play, building a three-goal advantage that appeared to have settled the contest. However, Freiburg staged a spirited comeback bid in the latter stages, applying sustained pressure in search of an equaliser that threatened to derail Bayern's flawless campaign.

Despite the late onslaught from their opponents, Bayern held firm to secure the three points and extend their unbeaten run. The result underscores the champions' quality while highlighting Freiburg's resilience in what proved to be a competitive encounter.

Bayern's ability to navigate the adversity in the closing minutes will provide confidence as the Bundesliga season progresses, demonstrating the champions can both dominate matches and withstand pressure when required.
