Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala collapsed during a friendly against Heidenheim on Tuesday, marking the second such incident in as many days for the German international. The 23-year-old went down shortly after entering the match as a substitute in the second half, prompting medical staff from both teams to attend to him before he was assisted off the pitch.
This latest collapse came just three days after Musiala fell during Bayern's preseason encounter with Leipzig on Saturday. In that match, he had left the field independently but appeared visibly affected by the incident.
Following Tuesday's game, Musiala took to social media to provide an update on his condition. The midfielder disclosed that he had been diagnosed with temporary "but easily treatable absence seizures" stemming from an underlying neurological issue. "These can lead to the moments that happened recently, such as against Leipzig or even now in Heidenheim," he wrote in an Instagram post.
Musiala assured supporters that he is doing well despite the medical concerns. The diagnosis follows medical evaluations conducted after the two incidents during Bayern's preseason preparations.
