BBC correspondent reports from Philippines ahead of Markle inquiry

A BBC news team has positioned itself in Cebu, Philippines, ahead of what sources indicate will be a formal inquiry involving Thomas Markle. Correspondent Jonathan Head is stationed outside a residence believed to be Markle's former home in the island province, from where he is expected to file reports on developments.

The nature and scope of the investigation remain unclear from available details. However, the presence of international media coverage suggests the matter has drawn significant attention beyond regional boundaries.

Cebu, located in the Visayas region, has served as a base for Markle in recent years. The deployment of BBC resources to cover the story underscores its perceived importance to international audiences.

Further details regarding the formal investigation, including its specific purpose and timeline, are anticipated as the story develops. The BBC's on-the-ground reporting is expected to provide additional context and information as events unfold in the coming days.
