BCCI vows to retrieve Asia Cup trophies, timeline uncertain
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has assured that both the men's and women's Asia Cup trophies will eventually be housed at BCCI headquarters, though officials have declined to specify when the handover will occur.

BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia said on Friday that the organisation is committed to retrieving the Asia Cup trophies won by India's men's and women's cricket teams, though he refrained from committing to a specific timeline.
"The Asia Cup trophies, we hope they will come one day. I will not give you a timeline, but I can assure you that both the trophies will land up in this office of the BCCI at the Wankhede Stadium," Saikia told reporters following the board's 95th Annual General Meeting.
The trophies remain uncollected following India's victories at the Asian Cricket Council events. The Indian men's team defeated Pakistan in the T20 Asia Cup final in Dubai last year, while the women's team triumphed over Sri Lanka in their continental championship earlier this month. Both squads declined to accept the trophies from Asian Cricket Council President Moshin Naqvi, who also serves as an interior minister in Pakistan's government.
The decision to withhold acceptance of the trophies reflects ongoing diplomatic tensions between the neighbouring cricket nations. BCCI officials have previously indicated that the trophies will eventually be displayed at the board's Mumbai headquarters once appropriate arrangements are finalised.
