Beams Fintech Fund leads ₹215 crore funding round for MSME lender BNF

Beams Fintech Fund has spearheaded a ₹215 crore investment in BNF, a lending platform focused on micro, small and medium enterprises, according to sources familiar with the development. The funding round underscores growing investor appetite for fintech solutions targeting India's underserved MSME segment, which continues to seek accessible credit options.

The investment consortium includes established financial investors Baring Private Equity India, Saison Capital, and Unleash, alongside Beams Fintech Fund. Following the infusion, Beams and its affiliated entities are positioned to hold over 26 per cent of BNF on a fully diluted basis, making it a substantial stakeholder in the lending platform.

The capital injection is expected to bolster BNF's lending capacity and technological infrastructure as the platform expands its reach across the MSME sector. The participation of seasoned institutional investors reflects confidence in BNF's business model and growth potential in India's fintech landscape.

The development comes as digital lending platforms continue to gain traction in providing credit solutions to small businesses that historically faced barriers in accessing traditional banking services. BNF's focus on this segment aligns with broader industry trends toward financial inclusion and digitalization of credit delivery in India.
