Bear Falls From Fishing Vessel After Napping in Japan's Miyagi

A bear managed to clamber aboard a fishing vessel operating off Miyagi Prefecture in northeastern Japan, where it proceeded to take an extended nap before accidentally plunging into the ocean.

The incident occurred when the uninvited mammal climbed onto the working boat, apparently seeking shelter or food. Rather than posing an immediate threat, the animal settled down and fell asleep on deck, according to accounts of the encounter.
