Beauty World Plaza returns to collective sale market at S$165m
The Bukit Timah shopping mall is being offered for collective sale for the third time, maintaining its previous asking price despite two failed attempts to find a buyer.

Beauty World Plaza has been relisted for collective sale at S$165 million, marking the third occasion the Bukit Timah retail property has been marketed to potential acquirers under this mechanism.
The shopping mall was previously offered at the same guide price in November 2018 and June 2019, but both collective sale attempts did not proceed to completion. The property, which houses a mix of retail and dining establishments, remains an attractive asset in one of Singapore's established residential neighbourhoods.
Collective sales of older shopping centres have faced headwinds in recent years as developers weigh redevelopment potential against prevailing property market conditions. The retention of Beauty World Plaza's S$165 million asking price suggests stakeholders maintain confidence in the property's valuation despite the unsuccessful prior attempts.
The renewed marketing effort comes as Singapore's real estate sector continues to navigate economic uncertainties. Potential buyers of the property would need to secure approval from owners representing at least 80 per cent of the strata area and share value to proceed with any collective sale transaction.
Details on the new marketing campaign and timeline for the latest collective sale attempt were not immediately disclosed.
