Officials in Belagavi district have reported progress in addressing public complaints filed through the Praja Seva scheme, with nearly 30 per cent of applications now resolved, according to the district commissioner. The resolution rate reflects ongoing efforts by the administration to tackle citizen grievances across multiple government departments.
Forest Department matters constituted a substantial share of the complaints addressed, alongside issues overseen by the Public Works Department and Revenue Department, district officials indicated. The grievances processed also encompassed administrative matters related to cremation ground allocation and school building construction projects across the district.
The Praja Seva mechanism serves as a channel for residents to lodge complaints against government departments and seek resolution of administrative issues. The district administration's progress in resolving approximately one-third of pending applications suggests continued engagement with the public grievance redressal system, though a significant backlog of unresolved complaints remains pending across the district's various administrative divisions.
