Belgian Quarry Harnesses Solar and Sheep in Green Energy Drive

The Florennes quarry in Wallonia has become an unlikely testing ground for sustainable energy production, integrating 3,240 solar panels across 3.3 hectares of land. The dual-use initiative allows sheep to graze beneath the photovoltaic installation, creating a synergistic approach to land management that benefits both energy production and local farming communities.
