Bengaluru FC extended their winning streak in the Indian Super League with a commanding 2-0 triumph over visiting Chennaiyin FC in a rain-affected encounter. The Blues' dominant display underlined their credentials as early season contenders as they picked up maximum points from their third consecutive fixture.
Ryan Williams provided the breakthrough for the hosts, finding the back of the net in the 24th minute to give Bengaluru the lead in difficult conditions. The opener set the tone for a controlled performance from the home side, who looked increasingly assured as the match progressed.
Mihalio Perovic sealed the victory with Bengaluru's second goal in the 52nd minute, effectively settling the contest and maintaining the hosts' unbeaten start to the campaign. The wet pitch and challenging weather conditions failed to derail Bengaluru's attacking rhythm, with the team demonstrating clear tactical discipline throughout the encounter.
The victory keeps Bengaluru FC firmly in the mix at the top of the ISL standings as the season enters its early stages. Chennaiyin FC, meanwhile, continue their search for consistency following the heavy defeat at the Bengaluru Football Club stadium.
