Bengaluru South deploys AI cameras to monitor civic violations

The Bengaluru South Corporation has launched an artificial intelligence-powered camera network aimed at improving civic enforcement and reducing manual inspection efforts. The automated system is designed to identify and flag multiple categories of violations including pothole formation, unauthorized waste disposal, street encroachments, and the unauthorized use of building basements.

The initiative represents a shift toward technology-driven urban management in one of India's major metropolitan areas.
