Bersatu Youth denies party seeking rapprochement with Pakatan Harapan
The youth wing of Bersatu has dismissed claims that the party is eager to forge closer ties with Pakatan Harapan, asserting that it had already secured electoral arrangements with Barisan Nasional in Pahang before any overtures toward the opposition coalition.

Bersatu Youth chief Hilman Idham has pushed back against suggestions that his party is pursuing a political accord with Pakatan Harapan, contending that the timing of Bersatu's existing commitments contradicts such characterizations.
Idham pointed out that Bersatu had concluded an electoral pact with the Pahang Barisan Nasional division prior to any negotiations being undertaken with the Selangor-based Pakatan Harapan, according to the youth wing's statement.
The remarks come amid ongoing speculation about potential political realignments within Malaysia's coalition landscape. Bersatu, which has shifted alliances multiple times since its formation, has maintained varying levels of cooperation with both major political blocs.
The youth wing's comments underscore the party's emphasis on its existing political arrangements and its strategy of working across different state-level coalitions. The statement appears designed to clarify Bersatu's positioning amid reports of inter-coalition discussions that have periodically surfaced in recent months.
