BGMI Launches Supernatural Mode, Ocean Odyssey Returns Next Month

Krafton India has confirmed that its popular mobile battle royale title Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) will receive significant updates in its next major patch. The version 4.6 update, scheduled for September 16, will transform the familiar Erangel map into a darker, supernatural-themed environment through a new Midnight Hunters mode.

The Midnight Hunters mode marks a notable creative departure for BGMI, introducing horror and supernatural elements to the game's established gameplay mechanics. Players can expect visual and atmospheric changes to Erangel that align with the supernatural theme, offering a fresh experience on one of the game's most popular maps.

Beyond the new mode, Krafton India confirmed the return of the Ocean Odyssey content offering. The company has been progressively expanding BGMI's content library with seasonal updates and limited-time modes designed to maintain player engagement.

The September 16 update represents part of Krafton's broader strategy to sustain interest in BGMI, which has maintained a significant player base in India since its launch.
