In women's kumite 55kg, Alisha's tournament ended prematurely with a 1-6 loss to Indonesia's Cok Istri Agung Sanistyarani in the round of 16. The significant margin of defeat ended her chances of advancing further in the competition.

Under karate's Senshu rule, the athlete credited with scoring first maintains an advantage if the match concludes level on points.
