BHEL Ranipet facility observes Gandhi Jayanthi with commemorative events

The Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) facility at Ranipet observed Gandhi Jayanthi, commemorating the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2nd. The plant organised events reflecting the values of truth, non-violence, and national service that defined Gandhi's life and independence struggle.

Employees participated in commemorative programmes designed to reinforce the principles of sustainability and ethical business practices that align with Gandhian philosophy. The observance included awareness activities highlighting Gandhi's contributions to India's freedom movement and his vision for a self-reliant nation.

BHEL, a leading public sector undertaking in heavy electrical equipment manufacturing, regularly observes national occasions to foster employee engagement and social consciousness. The Ranipet facility, a major production centre for the organisation, used the occasion to reflect on values of integrity and service that resonate with both Gandhi's legacy and corporate responsibility.

Gandhi Jayanthi is observed nationally each year as a tribute to the Father of the Nation and is also recognised internationally as the International Day of Non-Violence by the United Nations.
