The Department of Health's regional office recorded 2,167 dengue infections from January 1 to September 5, representing a 19 percent increase compared to the same nine-month period in the previous year.
The escalation to Code Blue status signals a critical level of health system strain, prompting regional health officials to mobilize additional resources and personnel to manage the outbreak.
