Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Monday made a strong endorsement of the Ram Mandir project in Ayodhya, stating that the Modi government had finally provided a permanent residence for Lord Ram after 400 years. "Lord Ram was waiting in a tent, and the Modi government has now given him a proper home by constructing a grand temple," Choudhary said in his statement.
The Chief Minister used the occasion to commend the central administration's broader welfare initiatives beyond the temple construction. He highlighted several flagship schemes including subsidized housing through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, free electricity distribution, sanitation facilities, and public food distribution programs.
Choudhary's remarks reflect the political significance accorded to the Ram Mandir inauguration by the ruling coalition. The temple's completion in Ayodhya was seen as a landmark achievement following decades of legal and political disputes over the site. The Chief Minister's statement underscores the political narrative linking religious sentiments with government welfare delivery in the region.
