The Bihar government has rolled out a revised stipend structure for postgraduate medical trainees, marking a substantial boost to their monthly allowances. First-year postgraduate medical students will now receive Rs 92,800 each month, up from the previous allocation of Rs 82,000, representing an increase of Rs 10,800. Second-year students have been assigned a higher monthly stipend of Rs 1,02,000, raised from Rs 90,200 previously. The enhancement reflects the state government's commitment to supporting medical professionals pursuing advanced qualifications in the region. The increased stipends are expected to ease financial pressures on postgraduate medical trainees and encourage greater participation in specialized medical studies across Bihar's medical institutions.
