Bihar Minister alleges RJD behind inflammatory social media campaign
A Bihar cabinet minister has accused the Rashtriya Janata Dal of orchestrating the viral spread of objectionable videos on social media platforms. The allegation has reignited tensions between the ruling coalition and the opposition party in the state.

Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha, a minister in the Bihar government, levelled serious charges against the RJD on Tuesday, claiming the opposition party was responsible for circulating inflammatory content online. Kushwaha alleged that the videos were being strategically disseminated across social media to incite public opinion against the government.
The minister's accusations came amid growing concerns about the misuse of digital platforms for political messaging in Bihar. Kushwaha did not provide specific details about the nature of the videos or present evidence to substantiate his claims during his public statement.
In his remarks, Kushwaha also made disparaging comments about members of the Yadav community, characterizing them as "Lucha-Lafanga" — a colloquial term used pejoratively. The comments drew immediate criticism from opposition parties and civil society groups who condemned the language as inflammatory and divisive.
The RJD has not yet issued an official response to Kushwaha's allegations. However, such accusations between ruling and opposition parties have become increasingly common as Bihar heads toward electoral contests, with both sides frequently trading charges of misconduct and misuse of state machinery.
