Bihar Police Bust Elaborate Beer Smuggling Operation Hidden Beneath Poultry Farm

Law enforcement officials in Vaishali district have dismantled what they describe as an ingeniously concealed beer smuggling operation in Keshavpur village. The racket involved storing contraband alcohol in a basement constructed directly beneath a functioning poultry farm, allowing operators to mask their illicit activities behind legitimate agricultural operations.

During the raid, police recovered 5,580 cans of beer totalling 2,790 litres from the underground storage facility. Preliminary valuations place the seized stock at approximately 10 lakh rupees, representing a significant haul in the district's ongoing crackdown on unauthorised alcohol distribution networks.

The operation exemplifies the increasingly sophisticated methods employed by smugglers across Bihar to evade detection and circumvent stringent state regulations on alcohol. The use of legitimate commercial fronts as cover for illicit storage and distribution has become a recurring challenge for authorities in the region.

Police have registered a case in connection with the seizure and investigation into the supply chain and distribution network remains ongoing. Authorities did not disclose details regarding arrests or the operational scope of the trafficking ring at the time of reporting.
