Bihar has emerged as a significant investment destination, securing 1,091 investment proposals valued at ₹1.21 lakh crore over the past 18 months, according to state authorities. The proposals underscore the state's growing appeal to industrial investors and its capacity to facilitate large-scale manufacturing operations.
The state is advancing integrated manufacturing city developments at multiple locations, aligning with a national scheme being rolled out across 14 sites in India. Bihar's progress in implementing these projects has positioned it among the country's leading states in this industrial initiative, state Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh said.
Integrated manufacturing cities are designed to provide comprehensive infrastructure, logistics support, and regulatory frameworks to attract large-scale industries. These developments typically include dedicated industrial zones, transportation corridors, and utilities to facilitate manufacturing operations.
The investment momentum reflects Bihar's strategic efforts to leverage its geographical advantages and improve industrial infrastructure. The state has been working to position itself as a competitive destination for manufacturing and industrial investment, competing with other regions across India for both domestic and international capital.
