The biogas and compressed biogas (CBG) sectors have attracted substantial investor interest at REI Expo 2026, with pledges totalling over ₹3,200 crore, according to the Indian Biogas Association (IBA). Held from October 22 to 24 at the India Expo Mart & Centre in Greater Noida, the exhibition brought together industry stakeholders to identify new business partnerships and scalable opportunities across India's bioenergy landscape.

The expo pavilion featured a comprehensive range of solutions spanning waste-to-energy technologies, biogas upgrading systems, compressed biogas production facilities, biomass utilisation methods and organic waste management processes. These exhibits underscored the expanding commercial viability of India's circular bioeconomy and the sector's capacity for industrial expansion.

The ₹3,200 crore investment pipeline reflects growing confidence among domestic and international investors in India's renewable energy transition. The three-day event reinforced biogas and CBG as key components of the nation's energy diversification strategy, offering avenues to convert agricultural and municipal waste into valuable energy resources while addressing environmental sustainability goals.
