BJP accuses Congress of deliberate Hindu divisions for political gains

The Bharatiya Janata Party intensified its criticism of the Congress party on Wednesday, asserting that the regional opposition outfit is engaged in a systematic effort to fragment Hindu society for political purposes. BJP representatives contended that Congress and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's administration are exploiting social divisions along multiple axes—including region, language, caste and gender—as part of a calculated electoral strategy.

According to the BJP's charges, these divisive tactics are designed to weaken Hindu consolidated voting blocs while strengthening support among other religious and minority communities. The party framed the allegations as part of a broader pattern of what it characterises as Congress's longstanding approach to Indian politics.

The accusations come amid ongoing political tensions between the BJP and Congress in several states, particularly in the south where regional parties and Congress maintain significant influence. Telangana, where the Congress government was recently formed, has become a focal point for such inter-party disputes over political strategy and governance approaches.

Congress has not immediately responded to the BJP's latest allegations. The party has historically rejected such claims, maintaining that its focus remains on inclusive development and addressing grievances across all sections of society without religious or caste-based discrimination.
