BJP accuses Congress of planning Delhi protest to spark 'anarchy'

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a sharp attack on the Congress party and its allies, accusing them of planning a Delhi protest scheduled for November 1 with the intention of fomenting "anarchy" across the national capital.

BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi suggested that the opposition coalition's choice of November 1 was not coincidental, linking it to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots that marked a significant and traumatic period in independent India's history. Trivedi's comments imply that the opposition parties deliberately selected the date to inflame communal tensions and create civil unrest.

The BJP spokesperson also leveled criticism at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, describing him as a "failed product" in apparent reference to his political performance and relevance. The remarks underscore the increasingly bitter rhetoric between the ruling party and the opposition as political tensions remain elevated.

The November 1 protest by Congress and allied parties is expected to be a significant opposition mobilization in Delhi. However, the BJP's preemptive criticism signals the government's determination to frame the opposition's planned demonstration as an attempt to destabilize the nation rather than legitimate democratic dissent.
