BJP announces new leadership teams in Uttar Pradesh ahead of assembly polls

The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced restructured teams for its important grassroots wings in Uttar Pradesh, signaling preparations for the state assembly elections. The announcements span the party's Scheduled Caste wing, Other Backward Classes wing, and women's organization.

In the SC wing, Vikas Kishor has been appointed state vice president, a significant elevation for the son of former central minister Kaushal Kishor. The appointment underscores the party's focus on SC representation in its organizational structure ahead of the electoral contest.

The OBC wing restructuring has seen substantial expansion, with the party naming 12 state vice presidents, four general secretaries, and 12 state secretaries. These appointments reflect the BJP's emphasis on the OBC constituency in Uttar Pradesh, where the community constitutes a significant voter base.

The organizational changes come as political parties in the state gear up for the next round of assembly elections. The BJP's revamped leadership structures in these wings are expected to strengthen its ground-level mobilization across various social groups in the state.
