BJP Chief Accuses Congress of Disregarding Constitution in Governance

During an address at the BJP's state executive committee meeting in Jharkhand, Nabin criticized the Congress for what he characterized as a pattern of constitutional violations spanning decades. He cited the imposition of the Emergency and the invocation of President's Rule in multiple states as evidence of the party's disregard for constitutional procedures.

"Those who swear by the Constitution have shredded it to pieces," Nabin said, referencing Congress's historical governance. He accused the party of attempting to create institutional instability in pursuit of political objectives, asserting that such efforts were not confined to domestic actors.

Nabin alleged that the Congress continues to challenge constitutional institutions and democratic frameworks, while claiming moral authority on democratic principles. He suggested the party's current leadership was employing tactics similar to its past approach, questioning constitutional bodies while allegedly seeking external support for political ends.

The BJP chief framed the current political landscape as a contest between those committed to constitutional governance and those seeking to undermine democratic institutions. His remarks, made during a three-day Jharkhand visit, reflect escalating political tensions ahead of upcoming electoral contests in the region.
