BJP chief Nabin convenes first meeting with newly-formed national leadership
BJP national president Nitin Nabin held his first strategic meeting with the party's freshly appointed national office-bearers on Saturday, focusing on electoral preparation and grassroots mobilisation. The gathering marks the beginning of a series of leadership consultations involving state-level party functionaries and chief ministers.

The BJP national president brought together the party's newly constituted national team to chart the course for upcoming state assembly elections and strengthen grassroots engagement, according to party insiders. Discussions centred on campaign strategy, grassroots mobilisation efforts, and ways to communicate the government's policy initiatives to voters across the country.
The meeting represents the first major gathering of the party's restructured leadership hierarchy, unveiled earlier this week. The new national team comprises 65 office-bearers, with 51 serving in their positions for the first time, signalling a significant generational shift within the party's organisational structure.
The enlarged leadership roster includes 13 national vice presidents, featuring former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia and former RSS functionary Ram Madhav among prominent appointments. Former Union minister Smriti Irani secured one of eight positions as national general secretary, while B L Santhosh retained his role as national general secretary (organisation).
Further meetings were scheduled throughout Saturday, with state presidents, state in-charges, and chief ministers of BJP-governed states expected to participate in subsequent rounds of discussions. These consultations aim to align the party's national strategy with regional priorities ahead of forthcoming electoral contests.
