BJP Leader Braj Mohan Ram Takes Oath as Odisha Governor

Braj Mohan Ram assumed office as Governor of Odisha following a formal swearing-in ceremony presided over by Orissa High Court Chief Justice Harish Tandon. The oath-taking event was attended by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Legislative Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy, state cabinet ministers, Members of Parliament, and other senior dignitaries.

Ram's appointment marks a significant development in Odisha's political administration as the state continues to consolidate governance under the BJP-led dispensation. The ceremonial proceedings underscored the formal transition of gubernatorial duties to the newly inducted administrator.

As Governor, Ram will assume constitutional responsibilities including assent to legislative matters, executive functions, and ceremonial duties as prescribed under the Indian Constitution. His tenure comes at a time when Odisha's state administration navigates policy implementation and developmental initiatives across the eastern Indian state.
