BJP marks Advani's birthday with religious ceremonies, tributes

The BJP held a series of religious observances including puja and havan ceremonies to commemorate L.K. Advani's birthday, blending the celebrations with the festive occasion of Deepavali. The event served as a platform for the party to recognise the contributions of one of its most prominent historical figures.

Party leaders used the occasion to reflect on Advani's extensive career in Indian politics and his significant role in shaping the BJP's organisational structure over several decades. Speakers highlighted his dedication to nation-building efforts and his influence on the party's ideological development.

According to the BJP, the celebration was designed to honour Advani's lifetime of public service and his impact on Indian political discourse. The simultaneous timing with Deepavali, a major Hindu festival, underscored the party's emphasis on cultural and religious significance in marking the occasion.

Advani, who served as Deputy Prime Minister and has held several key ministerial positions throughout his political career, continues to be regarded as a towering figure within the saffron party's hierarchy. The tribute reflects the esteem in which senior leadership holds his contributions to the party's growth and influence in Indian politics.
