A dispute over a proposed cycle distribution initiative in Loni, Garhi Kataiya, Ghaziabad has triggered a political confrontation between the BJP and Samajwadi Party (SP) in the region. BJP MLA Nandkishor Gurjar filed a complaint at Loni police station, objecting to social media posts made by SP president Akhilesh Yadav and MP Dimple Yadav regarding the distribution programme.
Gurjar accused the SP leadership of making misleading claims and demanded that authorities file a First Information Report (FIR) against those responsible. The legislator contended that the posts contained false and deceptive information designed to mislead the public.
The cycle distribution scheme, intended for Garhi Kataiya in Loni, has become a flashpoint in the ongoing political rivalry between the two parties. The complaint underscores escalating tensions between BJP and SP representatives in the state ahead of electoral contests.
Authorities have registered the complaint and initiated preliminary investigations into the allegations of misleading propaganda. The matter reflects broader political competition in the region, with both parties trading accusations over welfare programme implementation and public communications.
