BJP to mark LK Advani's 99th birthday with special ceremony

The BJP has announced plans for a special celebration honouring LK Advani, one of the party's founding figures, as the political veteran approaches his 99th birthday. The ceremony will be held at the party's headquarters and will include a religious ritual, reflecting the formal nature of the occasion.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the event, underscoring the significance the party places on acknowledging Advani's decades-long political legacy. The participation of the nation's top political leadership signals the respect accorded to Advani within the BJP hierarchy.

Advani, who has served as Deputy Prime Minister and held several senior cabinet positions during his long political career, has been instrumental in shaping the party's ideological direction since its inception. The celebration marks another milestone in the life of a figure who remains revered within the saffron party.

The planned observance demonstrates the BJP's commitment to honouring its senior members and acknowledging their contributions to the party's growth and political influence over several decades.
