BMW crashes through bridge railing in Mumbai, three dead

The accident occurred early Sunday on the Coastal Road when the BMW, traveling at high speed, struck the bridge's safety railing and crashed through it before falling. Three occupants of the vehicle were killed in the impact, while a fourth passenger sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized.
Among the deceased were identified as 21-year-old Shanay and 17-year-old Dhairya. The names of the third victim and injured passenger were not immediately disclosed.
The incident was captured on video footage that circulated widely among Mumbai residents. Emergency responders reached the scene quickly and began rescue operations, extracting the injured passenger from the wreckage.
The Coastal Road, a major arterial route in Mumbai, is frequently the site of traffic incidents due to high-speed driving. The crash has reignited concerns about vehicle safety and speed enforcement on the busy thoroughfare.
Local authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances that led to the crash, including whether speed and rash driving were contributing factors.
