BN path not closed in Melaka election talks, says Amirudin

Amirudin Shari, who directs electoral strategy for Pakatan Harapan, signaled openness to engaging with the opposition Barisan Nasional as the coalition considers its approach to the upcoming Melaka state election.
The senior Pakatan figure emphasized that negotiations over electoral pacts are being guided by two principal considerations: ensuring political stability in the state and advancing the interests of the rakyat. This stance suggests the ruling coalition remains flexible in its pre-election positioning despite historical tensions between Pakatan and BN.
The comments come as political parties begin preliminary discussions ahead of the state poll, with various coalitions assessing potential alliances and seat-sharing arrangements. Melaka has been a strategic battleground for both major political blocs in recent years.
Amirudin's remarks indicate that while Pakatan remains the dominant force in current state politics, it is not dismissing opportunities for dialogue with rival factions if such arrangements could benefit the electorate and maintain governmental continuity.
