BN-PN alliance may not guarantee complete voter transfer, says Melaka PH
Melaka's opposition coalition expressed scepticism over whether supporters of both governing blocs will automatically back an electoral alliance. Analysts note that new voters could also sway the outcome of upcoming polls.

A Pakatan Harapan representative in Melaka has cautioned that a political alliance between Barisan Nasional and Perikatan Nasional may not result in a complete consolidation of voter support between the two coalitions.
Adly Zahari noted that supporters of either grouping cannot be assumed to automatically accept such a cooperation arrangement. The shifting political landscape, he suggested, introduces uncertainty into calculations based purely on coalition strength.
New voters entering the electoral roll represent an additional variable that could influence the outcome of elections, Zahari indicated. Their voting preferences remain unpredictable and could diverge from historical voting patterns associated with established political blocs.
The comments underscore ongoing debates in Malaysian politics about the stability of electoral coalitions and the extent to which formal political alliances translate into unified voter behaviour. Political analysts have long noted that voter loyalty cannot be taken for granted, particularly in an evolving political environment where voter preferences continue to shift.
