boAt expands into Sri Lanka, Bhutan as international revenue surges
Indian audio and wearables brand boAt has marked its entry into Sri Lanka and Bhutan, reinforcing its push beyond domestic markets. The company's international revenue more than doubled in the financial year ended March 2026, driven by its expansion across Southeast Asia and the Gulf region.

boAt said on Thursday it will offer personal audio products, smartwatches and charging solutions across its two new markets, with plans to tailor offerings based on local preferences and market dynamics. The expansion underscores the New Delhi-based company's strategy to establish a foothold across multiple geographies rather than simply replicating its existing product portfolio.
Chief Executive Gaurav Nayyar emphasised that the company's international strategy prioritises understanding regional consumers over mass distribution. "Our ambition is clear: to build boAt into a global consumer lifestyle-tech brand from India that competes on product, design, innovation and consumer understanding," he said in a statement.
Sri Lanka and Bhutan represent boAt's latest additions to a growing international presence spanning Southeast Asia and Gulf Cooperation Council member states. The company said it would expand its product range in each market progressively, calibrating its approach to local category opportunities and consumer response.
Boat's wearables segment has emerged as a key growth driver alongside its core audio business, positioning the brand to compete in the increasingly crowded global consumer electronics market where Indian brands have begun establishing themselves.
