Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso announced the retrieval on Monday, Aug. 24, marking a conclusion to the intensive operation that began after the incident last week.
The Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department led the continuous search and retrieval efforts, maintaining operations throughout the seven-day period. Officials did not halt their efforts despite challenging conditions, demonstrating commitment to locating the young victim.
