The body was found floating near Barangay Saimsim in the municipality of Lipa City on Friday, the Philippine Coast Guard Batangas Station said in a statement released late that afternoon. The man had been missing since October 31.

The PCG Batangas Station coordinated search efforts across the Taal Lake area following the initial missing person report. Recovery operations culminated in the discovery of the body in waters near the coastal barangay.

Authorities have not disclosed additional details regarding the circumstances of the man's disappearance or the cause of death. The recovered remains have been turned over to appropriate authorities for further investigation and processing.

The recovery brings closure to the search operation that had been underway for more than a week. Taal Lake, located in Batangas province south of Metro Manila, remains a significant body of water for local fishing and tourism activities.
