Body of missing swimmer found off Pangasinan coast after three days
A 23-year-old man who went missing after being swept away by strong currents while swimming in Zambales has been recovered dead in waters off Pangasinan. The Philippine Coast Guard confirmed the discovery on Wednesday, three days after the initial incident.

The body of Danillo Conejos, a resident of Barangay Malinta in Valenzuela City, was discovered in waters off Infanta town in Pangasinan on Wednesday, according to the Philippine Coast Guard. Conejos had been reported missing after being carried away by strong sea currents while swimming in Masinloc, Zambales.
The 23-year-old had gone into the water in Masinloc when he was caught by unusually strong currents, prompting authorities to launch a search operation. Despite initial rescue efforts, Conejos remained missing for three days before his body was located off the Infanta coast.
The PCG did not provide additional details regarding the condition of the body or the exact circumstances surrounding his death. The incident highlights the dangers posed by strong sea currents in the region, particularly during certain times of the year when waters can become hazardous for swimmers.
