SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — Authorities recovered the body of Arryn Paanan Liwanag, 26, at 11:20 a.m. on Sunday, August 30, according to Philippine Coast Guard confirmation. The indigenous woman had been missing since the boat she was in capsized in Mapanuepe Lake in San Marcelino four days earlier.
The recovery operation concluded a multi-day search effort involving coast guard personnel who worked to locate the missing woman following the maritime incident. Liwanag was pregnant at the time of the accident.
