Body of teenager recovered after river tragedy in Sabah

A recreational outing in Sabah ended in tragedy when a teenage boy lost his life after being swept away by strong currents in a local river. The body of the 16-year-old was discovered by search and rescue teams conducting operations in the Keningau district following the incident at Sungai Pegala.
The incident occurred when the two teenagers ventured into the river for what was intended as a leisure activity. Without warning, powerful currents caught both boys, pulling them downstream. While one youth was successfully recovered by rescue personnel, his condition proved fatal.
