Boeing, Korean Air seal major 103-aircraft procurement deal

Korean Air's commitment to purchase 103 aircraft from Boeing represents one of the aerospace manufacturer's notable orders in recent times, underscoring continued demand for commercial aviation capacity in Asia-Pacific markets.

According to aviation intelligence firm IBA, the deal carries a value of roughly US$12.6 billion at prevailing market rates after accounting for customary industry discounts. The final procurement agreement brings to completion negotiations between the South Korean carrier and the Chicago-based aircraft manufacturer.

The order reflects Korean Air's strategic plans to modernise and expand its operational fleet to meet growing passenger demand across regional and international routes.
