Bollywood Actor Nana Patekar's Death Caused by Heart Attack: Autopsy

The postmortem examination of veteran Bollywood actor Nana Patekar has confirmed that acute myocardial infarction, or heart attack, was the cause of death, according to findings released by Manipal Hospital in Goa.

Dr. Shekhkar Salkar of the hospital had indicated the likelihood of a cardiac event during initial medical consultations following Patekar's hospitalization. The autopsy results have now substantiated the physician's preliminary assessment, providing definitive confirmation of the underlying cause.

The 66-year-old actor, known for his work across Hindi and Marathi cinema spanning several decades, had been admitted to the facility before his death. The cardiac diagnosis aligns with medical observations documented during his treatment at the Goan hospital.

Patekar's death marked the end of a notable career in Indian cinema, during which he appeared in numerous acclaimed films and earned recognition for his performances in both mainstream and parallel cinema projects.
