Bollywood celebrities seek blessings at Mumbai Durga Puja pandals

Mumbai's Durga Puja festivities drew notable Bollywood personalities during the Mahasaptami observances, with a number of celebrities visiting prominent pandals across the city. Among those attending celebrations was veteran actress Jaya Bachchan, who visited the North Bombay Sarvojanin Durga Puja pandal alongside her daughter. The Mahasaptami occasion, marking a significant day in the nine-day Navratri festival, saw widespread participation from entertainment industry figures seeking blessings at various community-organized worship sites. The North Bombay Sarvojanin pandal, one of the city's well-established Durga Puja venues, hosted multiple visitors from the film fraternity throughout the day. Such visits during the festival period reflect a broader cultural tradition among Mumbai's residents, including those from the entertainment sector, to participate in communal Durga Puja celebrations that have been a fixture of the city's seasonal festivities for decades.
