The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) received a report of the alleged bomb threat targeting the NU-MOA campus in Pasay City on Thursday, according to a spot report released by the command. Police said they were notified of the threat at approximately 7:50 a.m., after the warning was posted on the institution's Facebook page.
The NCRPO did not immediately disclose details regarding the content of the threat or the identity of the person who posted it. The police office's initial response protocols were activated following the report.
The incident comes amid heightened security concerns in Metro Manila, where authorities maintain constant vigilance against potential security threats at educational institutions and commercial establishments. Police are investigating the matter to determine the credibility of the threat and identify those responsible for the social media post.
The NCRPO urged the public to report any suspicious activities or threats to the nearest police station or through its emergency hotline. Authorities reminded residents that making false bomb threats is a criminal offense under Philippine law.
