Bosch shares fall 4% after announcing stock split, bonus issue

Bosch India's share price declined 4 per cent from its day's high on Friday following the announcement of capital restructuring measures, despite the company posting strong second-quarter results for the fiscal year ending March 2027.

The company declared a 1:5 stock split and a generous 3:1 bonus share issue to shareholders. These moves are aimed at improving liquidity and widening investor participation in the company's equity.

Bosch's standalone net profit for the quarter rose 21.7 per cent year-on-year, while revenue from operations surged 28.5 per cent during the same period. The strong operational performance reflects robust demand across the company's key business segments during the quarter.

The stock split will reduce the face value of each share, making it more accessible to retail investors, while the bonus issue represents a distribution of retained earnings to existing shareholders without any additional capital outlay. Such announcements typically generate investor interest over the medium term, though immediate market reaction can be mixed depending on prevailing market conditions and investor sentiment.

Bosch India, a leading supplier of automotive components and industrial solutions, has been reporting consistent growth momentum in recent quarters amid expanding domestic manufacturing and rising exports.
