BRAC appoints Arinjoy Dhar as deputy executive director

BRAC, the world's largest non-governmental organization by number of beneficiaries, has announced the appointment of Arinjoy Dhar as deputy executive director, effective immediately. Dhar brings extensive experience from his previous roles within the organization, where he has contributed to BRAC's expansion across multiple sectors including poverty alleviation, education, health, and financial services.

The appointment comes as BRAC continues its operations across 11 countries in South and Southeast Asia and East Africa. The organization, founded in 1972, serves millions of beneficiaries annually through its diverse development and humanitarian programs. As deputy executive director, Dhar will support the organization's strategic initiatives and oversee operational functions across BRAC's expansive portfolio.
