Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscored the robust economic trajectory of BRICS member nations, noting their growth rates are substantially outpacing the broader global economy. Speaking on the bloc's expanding influence, Modi emphasised that the five-nation grouping—comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—represents a significant economic force reshaping international commerce and investment patterns.
Modi advocated for intensified integration among BRICS economies, pointing to untapped potential in bilateral and multilateral trade relationships. He stressed the importance of removing barriers to commerce and facilitating seamless economic transactions across member nations, which collectively represent billions in potential market value.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the need to strengthen people-to-people connections through enhanced talent mobility and knowledge exchange programmes. According to Modi, promoting the movement of skilled professionals and fostering collaborative innovation initiatives would accelerate development across the bloc and enhance its competitive advantage on the global stage.
