British International School HCMC celebrates two decades of IB excellence

The British International School Ho Chi Minh City has reached a significant milestone in its International Baccalaureate program, celebrating two decades of the rigorous curriculum while delivering record-breaking results from its latest graduating class.

The Class of 2026 achieved a collective average IB Diploma score of 36.7 points, substantially above the worldwide average of 30.9 points. The cohort represented the largest group of IB candidates in the school's history, according to institution officials. Among the results were two perfect scores of 45 points, the maximum achievable in the two-year program.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a comprehensive educational framework designed for students aged 16 to 19, culminating in examinations across six academic subjects and three core components. Schools worldwide administer the program, which emphasizes critical thinking, global awareness, and academic rigor.

The strong performance reflects sustained investment in teaching and curriculum development at the institution, located in Vietnam's largest city. The school's two-decade tenure with the IB program positions it among the region's established providers of international education.
